Six Greeting Cards-2BSN

From the composer:

Earlier in the year, on a recital with other composers, I listened to a piece that was a collection of miniature piano solos. The pieces were not long or complex, just short, succinct musical thoughts. It reminded me of the idea a simple, yet meaningful thought. Musing on the concept of greeting cards as music, the idea for this piece formed in my head. 

Each of these short works in meant to convey the feeling that is expressed with the greeting card occasion for which the movement in titled. The duets are arranged in such a way that they would make, in their entirety, one well-organized work, but they can also be rearranged and performed selectively, at the performers' discretion- or for the occasions for which they were composed!
