Vogel (b. 1947) - American composer This work was written in 2010 for Lisa Hanson Bartholow, a flute instructor at Georgia College and State University, Clayton State University, and Toccoa Falls College. The name "Pas de deux" implies a close relationship between two people or things, and in ballet it is a duet consisting of several sections. The four highly-stylized, dance-like movements of this suite are duets that require just such coordination between the two performers.
