Silver Threads Among the Gold is one of the best old-time parlor songs, which so typify a quieter age, long since disappeared. The Variations were written in the spirit of friendship and fun for the other members of the Finley Bassoon Trio, Frank Morelli and Harry Searing.

This edition comes with:

• Two solo bassoon parts as performance scores 
• One complete band/orchestra score 
• One complete set of parts 

The score and set may be used by either band or orchestra. The string parts are all doubled in the winds, and various instruments may simply lay out to facilitate performance by either group. A version for two bassoons and piano, TCO 1502, is also available.
