Kaeti in Faroese translates to the English "Playfulness". Kaeti was written for the Icelandic musicians Holmfrour Thoroddsdottir, oboe, and Darren Stoneham, bassoon. The first performance was in 1998 at the Festival for Classical and Contemporary Music Summartonar.
The set includes alternate oboe parts by the composer for flute and clarinet. Parts provided for performance as duo for Oboe and Bassoon (original) as well as Flute and Bassoon, and Clarinet (Bb) and Bassoon.
