Edited by Hugo Ruf, this title is for violincello, viola da gamba, or bassoon, and basso continuo. This edition comes with a realized keyboard part, including figured bass notation. The solo part includes the basso line. Although written for cello, Boismortier's works were generally written with flexible instrumentation in mind, and bassoonists may perform this work with minimal to no alterations. Some copies of this edition have an erroneous Opus marking of 16 rather than 26 on the cover.
