for two oboes, two clarinets, two horns, and two bassoons
by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) - German composer
The Rondino was written in 1792, when Beethoven still lived in Bonn. It was probably intended as Tafelmusik for Elector Maximilian Franz. it was first published as a posthumous work in 1829. To facilitate rehearsal, the score has been provided with an added piano reduction as a short score, which will also enable any instruments not present at rehearsal to be replaced by the piano. The horns have been transposed from Eb to F, in accordance with modern practice. Edited by Helmut May.
