Damian Montano enjoys a career as both a bassoonist and composer. He has been funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and his compositions have been performed by ensembles across the country. As a bassoonist, he is a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and has performed with many other orchestras. He is also an active recording artist for film, television and commercials.

Montano's Suite for Daydreams was commissioned by a consortium of musicians.
