Deux Caprices

for oboe & bassoon

These Caprices were originally written for organ, as were the majority of Kirnberger's works,  However, in voicing notation for the organist he suggests "Basson, Hautbois, Flute (octaviante)."  With very few voicing changes for practical instrument range, they become duets with a sparkling dialogue between the equal writing for oboe and bassoon.  The original is without dynamics and articulations.  No dynamics have been added by the editor and only a few suggested articulations will be found.
