"Star Bassoons" is a composition whose stars are the four bassoons (who else?) They interact with sounds and remembrances of the famous melody of a well-known film series. The composer's challenge consisted in never quoting the melody, yet in altering and processing it in his own musical language in such a way that it appeared in a new light and resulted in a new and independent work.
