Dual Identity - SOLO BSN

Dual Identity was composed in 2005 and is dedicated to bassoonist Judith Farmer. This four-minute piece sets out to show the "dual identity" of the instrument, which can sounds quite energetic, but also very lyrical and sweet. Multiphonics are employed in the more forceful and groove-oriented passages of the composition.
