Premier Solo
for bassoon and piano
by Eugene Bourdeau (1850-1926) - French composer
Eugene Bourdeau's famous "Premier Solo" has become part of the standard repertoire for bassoon ever since it was used as the Solo de Concours for the Paris Conservatorie in 1894. It is presented here in a newly engraved edition, edited by Trevor Cramer. Some of the old engraving has been cleaned up, and the use of tenor clef has been simplified for ease of reading. This is currently the finest edition available of this work.
