by Daniel Baldwin (b. 1978) - American composer
Equus, Latin for “horse” (you can hear the "galloping" effects presented with the primary theme) was commissioned and premiered in the summer of 2012 by my friend Elizabeth Knott in celebration of the inaugural year of the Charleston Oboe Camp. Written in an overture form (with elements of rondo), Equus was written specifically for camp style performances.
